Jordan Mason has emerged as a standout running back for the San Francisco 49ers, particularly in the absence of Christian McCaffrey. However, during a recent game against the Seattle Seahawks, Mason sustained a shoulder injury that raised concerns about his availability.
Despite initially being questionable to return, Mason did come back but only managed one carry before sidelining again. The 49ers, already missing McCaffrey, are now relying on rookie Isaac Guerendo and Patrick Taylor Jr. for depth at the position.
Mason has been impressive this season, ranking second in the NFL in rushing yards, trailing only Derrick Henry. The team hopes Mason's injury is not serious as they await McCaffrey's return from his calf/Achilles injury.
